Closing

Hooray! We're signing all our papers for our house today, and we'll be closed completely on Thursday!! We're so excited to get our house, we've wanted our own place for 7 years now, and finally we have a house. As soon as we get in we'll post some pictures. We still have quite a bit of work to do on the house, but we're just so happy to be in it.
Here are some funny pictures of the boys, they love to wrestle, and we just laugh and laugh about them. Hope everyone is having a great day and a great week!

Happy Birthday Owen!

Wow! We have had such a busy past few weeks. Work, buying a new house, school, church, and keeping this house clean for showing to perspective renters has kept us going, and this past weekend was the busiest. We had a party for Owen on Saturday and Oma and Opa came to visit and help out. We then had a birthday party with the Tunells Monday night, and today we just had a nice family time, while Owen showed off his mad bike riding skills. I can't believe how good he does. My little four year old is so big and sweet, I just can't get over it. He and Aaron put together Legos tonight, and Owen did most of it himself. I love to see him learning and growing, and I thank my Father in Heaven every day that I was blessed with such a wonderful sweet boy. I had to wait for him, but boy the wait was worth it. Owen brings light and joy into our lives every day. Noah has had so much fun with the parties and the new toys, he thinks it is his birthday too :)

What a cool bike rider!
I'll update more on the new house later, we should be closing either the end of this week or sometime next week. Hope everyone is doing well!!!

I almost forgot!
HAPPY BIRTHDAY KAILI!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Funny Boys

I love that my kids are into music, and that Owen and Noah both already have a favorite song. It happens to be the same one. I don't even know the correct name of it, it's by the Moody Blues and we call it Rock and Roll. Noah just calls it Rock. We were in the car the other day, and he started yelling for it, so I turned it on and the boys both began head banging. Oh yes. It made my day! I laughed and laughed while they did it, and I wish I had it on tape. We've also been jamming to Muse lately, the boys love to dance and jump to their songs. Hope you all are having a great day!

Christmas Recap

Well, we survived the holiday season and have returned to our normal lives again. Church starts a 9am now (Hooray!!!) and we are trying to adjust to Dad being back at work again. Here are some highlights from Christmas.

We had a great time, and hopefully Oma and Opa and GG and Papa did as well. Thanks for sharing the holiday with us.

Here is a yummy recipe we tried over the holiday, it was so good. I of course made some changes, but we loved it, and it was so easy. Here is the link. I love this site, hopefully you will be able to find some delicious recipes there too.

We are starting to look for a house, so hopefully by June we'll be in a new house that belongs to us. Hooray! We'll keep you updated. Wishing you all a very happy New Year!

Merry Christmas!!! Hope you all have a wonderful holiday. We can't wait for the festivities to begin. Owen is counting down the days, and he can't stop himself from talking about Christmas non-stop. Hopefully you all have safe and happy holidays! I wanted to remember something funny Owen said last night. We were telling Owen how smart he is, and then we talked about how lots of people were smart, and we asked him to tell us who was smart. He came up with the usual answers. Then Daddy asked is Noah smart? Owen promptly said "Noah can't talk! He's not smart!" We laughed and laughed about that. Then of course we explained that he was a smart baby. Funny boys. Noah actually talks better and better everyday, and he's starting to put together two word phrases. Here is a picture of Owen's gingerbread house he made in preschool

and here is one we made at the library. It stayed together for about 4 hours. Oh well. We had fun making them.
Aren't my boys cute?
I'll post some fun Christmas pictures in a few days.

Catch Up

We've had a great few weeks since we got back from Mexico. We've been really busy, with Christmas crafts and shopping, church activities, Thanksgiving, and birthday fun. Thanks to Mom Hunt for babysitting for the boys so Aaron and I could go out for my birthday. We had a nice time and the boys had fun too. I finally finished Noah's birth record cross stitch, he's not yet two years old, so I'm not too far behind, right? :)
I also got Christmas cards done and other Christmas presents done, so we are now done with Christmas shopping. Hooray! Thanksgiving was nice, we spent Thanksgiving day at Chris and Steve's house with most of Aaron's family and some of Steve's kids. It was fun, and the boys spent most of the day on the trampoline and playing with cars. The food was great, and so was the company. Owen has gotten camera shy, so I can't ever get a decent picture of the kid, but here are some of the most recent pictures.

Mexico

Well, we made it back to the States after a good trip to Mexico. Aaron had to go on another business trip last week and the week before, and I decided it would be fun to go with him for the last week of his trip. The boys and I drove down with him on Monday and came back on Friday night. The boys did so well, the best they've ever done, and we had so much fun on the beach and stayed in the Condos Pilar so we had each our own bedrooms, a kitchen, etc. We'll definitely make the trip again since it was so nice to spend time with Aaron and to have a fun mini-vacation. Oma and Opa came and stayed with our boys yesterday so Aaron and I could go and see New Moon. We enjoyed it, it was definitely better than the first one. We've been just chugging along, and we're looking forward to the long weekend this coming week. Hope you guys have a great holiday, we're eagerly awaiting time off and relaxing and wii game playing :)
Here is a picture of the boys at the zoo when they went with Aaron one morning for scouts. They had a great time.

Halloween!

Well, we had a great Halloween! We went to the ward party on Friday night, and then went around our neighborhood on Saturday. It was fun, and Noah and Owen made out like bandits in the candy department. Unfortunately, our neighborhood was kind of a dud. Very few people participate there. Oh well. Here are some pictures. This one is when Owen got to wear his costume to preschool. He was pretty excited, although mean Mommy didn't let him take his light saber. Somehow he survived ;)
Noah got to be Yoda, thanks Daddy, and he was just too cute :)
We didn't carve our pumpkins until Saturday morning, because we wanted them to look good that night, and they did.
Noah had great fun getting his hands in the gunk and throwing it everywhere, and of course Owen my clean boy wouldn't touch the inside of the pumpkins with a spoon even. We had a good time carving them together, and because the small pumpkins were so hard, Aaron used his dremel. Pumpkin carving and power tools...what could be better?:) Hope you are all doing well.

Slippers and Cooler Weather

Well, we have finally started to get some cooler weather here in Tucson...Hooray! We got the boys some slippers the other night, and even though we had to convince Owen to get Spiderman instead of Cars, they both are really happy with their slippers. He's holding his Spider Man tooth brush as well.

And yes, Owen still just wears his sweaters, underwear and now slippers. I can' t seem to keep pants on this kid :) The boys had fun playing outside with their coats on, and both came in with rosy, cold cheeks. I had fun loving on them :)

Hope you are all doing well, Halloween is only 2 days away and Owen is counting down. He's so excited, which makes the rest of us so excited. Hope you all have a great one, and I'll update soon with pictures from Halloween.

Pumpkin Picking

Saturday morning we went pumpkin picking with some of Aaron's family. It was so fun, and although we were being blown away by the wind, we had a great day. We got pumpkins and had a great time. Here are some pictures. We wish Loren and Ian and Steve could've been there, maybe next time. Once again, Happy Birthday to my siblings and hope you all have a great weekend!

Pictures!

We have a memory card again, Hooray!!! Here are some of the projects Owen and I have been working on since he's had a 3 week fall break from preschool.

The boys have been playing with Daddy's hats lately, and they are so cute about it :)

I hope everyone is doing well, we are having a great time here. Owen is so excited to be a Jedi Knight for Halloween this year, and we're still trying to convince Aaron that Noah should be Yoda. I think he would be perfect. We're going pumkin picking this Saturday, and going on a hay ride, so hopefully I will have lots of fun pictures. Hooray for cooler weather!!!!!

Happy Anniversary!!!!

Aaron and I celebrated our seventh anniversary on Thursday, and we went out on Friday thanks to Mom and Dad. Unfortunately, I don't have any pictures of the event because our memory card has been misplaced, so until it turns up or we get another one, I'll have a pictureless blog :). Anyway, we went to a restaurant called Janus which was really nice. We had all sorts of different courses, and got special anniversary gifts and yummy treats. It was so fun to spend time together in such a nice place and spend a couple of hours just talking together without there being too much noise or hurry. We loved it, but the price makes it for us only a special occasion restaurant :) Thank you Oma and Opa for watching our kids and letting us have a worry-free time. Opa's leg is looking better, for my siblings, but still has lots of fluid in it and is swollen up. He says he is doing better, and he seems to be walking pretty well. Hopefully you are all doing well and having a great month, since it's been almost that long since I have written :) We decorated for Halloween, and Owen and I made a haunted gingerbread house together. Pictures forthcoming. Owen was so excited about it, and in a couple of weeks we'll be getting our costumes. Happy Birthday to our October birthdays, Sonia, Eric, Andrea, and Shawn. Hope you all have wonderful days and I can't wait to talk to you all.

Things I like and Happy Birthday Opa!

Happy Birthday Opa!!!! Hope you have a great day! We love you.

There are a couple of new products that we have tried recently and really liked. One is Hershey's Pumpkin Spice Kisses. They are so yummy. Aaron thought they were gross, just like he thought he would, but the boys and I have been eating them up.

The other product is Welch's Sparkling Grape Juice. Sooo good. Aaron and I have loved them, and we haven't shared them with the boys :)
Hope everyone is having a great week!

Stay-cation

Well, we've had a really great past week/weekend. Aaron took a couple of vacation days over the Labor Day weekend and we had a really great "stay-cation" as my pediatrician called it. Friday we went to the Tucson's children's museum, and while it isn't super amazing, it was great for our boys, and they had such a great time. They both played, laughed and had fun looking at everything. Owen even got to climb a rock wall. He was a little nervous, but on the second time he did it himself. We forgot to take our camera, but they boys had so much fun I wish I had pictures of it. Saturday we went to Old Tucson Studios and had so much fun. We all enjoyed the rides and we got an old timey family picture taken. Here are some photos. We bought the cowboy hats as souveniers, and the boys have had such a fun time pretending with the hats.

Owen and Noah seem to be growing up on me overnight. They both have grown and changed so much this last little while, and although very fun, it makes Mom pretty sad because my babies aren't babies any more. Hope everyone had a great Labor Day weekend, and as the holiday season is starting up here soon, I hope everyone enjoys this time of year as much as I do. I love this time of year, and having the kids makes it even more fun!!! Halloween is only 1 1/2 months away :)
